# of Years in Education: 22

When I was 12 I started leading my own 4-H club. I loved what I was doing!  This experience inspired me to think about being a teacher. I graduated from Middleton High School and went to the University of Idaho to pursue that career choice; earning a BS in Family and Consumer Sciences. I was hired by the Adrian School District and taught there for 9 years. While there I advised 7 FCCLA State Officers. I earned my Masters of Education in Counseling and became the K-12 counselor there. I then became the first elementary counselor at Middleton Heights Elementary developing my own counseling curriculum.

My husband and I moved to McCall where I hosted at Lardo’s, was a  real estate agent, worked at McCall Schools as the distance learning coordinator, and then opened our own business, The McCall Store.  Then was hired at Cascade Schools starting as the elementary school counselor.

When I am not involved in the school I help Scotty with our three businesses; The McCall Store, The McCall Candy Company, and The Cascade Store. I enjoy sewing and make most of Scotty's shirts and love to quilt. In the summer, I have fun driving my red glitter genuine Myers Manx dune buggy. [G2]

Hopes for the upcoming school year:

My hope for this year is to help students, teachers and parents become inspired to be the best version of themselves, to help find meaning in education and joy in every day

Why does Mrs. Davenport teach?

It’s the ah-ha moments, laughter, sincerity, and the unexpected. Participating in helping students discover their own gifts and empowering them to take control of their own learning.

Knowing every day I have the chance to make a difference to one student, parent or teacher.
