# of years in Education: going into 2nd year

In Cascade: 2nd year being on staff

Short Life story (former employment, family, hobbies, etc):

I am an Idaho native, I was born and raised in Boise, Idaho. I graduated high school from Borah High School  and shortly after high school I became a mom. I have 2 boys. They are my everything. My youngest is attending Cascade High School. I strived to raise my boys and work full time. For a long time it was just me and my boys. I now have an amazing and supportive boyfriend that we love to do things together and that’s what brought me to Cascade,ID in summer of  2016.

My favorite things to do are craft, photography, riding anything with a motor, camping boating, swimming, being outdoors. I also love spending time with my family and friends. I have some amazing best friends that have become my family. I am the oldest of 4 kids! I have worked in management most of my life… So my goal is always to live by the golden rule treat others the way you want to be treated. And with that you will gain trust and respect or at least hope too.

Hopes for the upcoming school year:

As I sit here writing this I am excited and anxious for this next school year and the changes. I feel that with every big change in upper management I know that there will be changes coming down to us. I love to learn and embrace the change and move forward to help myself and others grow. As I mentioned before I have a high importance for my family and friends so my hope for this school year is to build and be apart of a school family with our staff here and grow that bound between all of us. You can always offer a helping hand but it takes someone on the other end to reach out to make that offering hand feel wanted or needed. It takes a tribe to raise a Child so why not make us that tribe for these children. Another hope is to work in a  classroom where the teacher wants you in there and working with the children. There is nothing more rewarding than to watch a child grow from being able to understand and develop. I would say the last hope I will talk about for now is that everyone works together and keeps a positive attitude. I know we all have our days and things going on but remember we are the tribe of these children and need to stand strong together to help them grow.

My Why: I was excited to be able to work with children and get to meet new people in the community.
