# of years in Education: 25 years in special education.

This will be my 32 year with the Cascade School District.

I was born in Boise and moved to Cascade in 1967 permanently, with my family of 7, to take over my great grandparents cattle ranch. I had the pleasure of graduating from Cascade High in 1974. I attended BSU the first year it became a University!

I worked for the Forest Service for several years until my husband Tom of 43 years(August 30) and I decided to start a family. I have been a firefighter, owned a catering business, sold Indian fry bread, crafts, doterra oils, and creative memories and currently co-owner of Gordon Builders with my husband.  My daughters Tess and Laura also graduated from Cascade High. I have a granddaughter who graduated in 2017 and my grandson will graduate this year. My younger grandkids go to school here also. So you could say we have “The Mighty Rambler” blood running through our veins.

My favorite thing to do is explore the outdoors! I love spending time with my family, camping, rockhounding,  4 Wheeling, quilting(beginner) and being creative. Idaho and Cascade are great places for adventure!

Hopes for the upcoming school year: That students know I care about them, that they are important and their lives matter.

Why does Mrs. Gordon teach?

I love the students. My roots are here. My heart lives here.
