Connecting to Network File Servers

Staff and Students may need to access files on network file server. This page will help you get connected.
Here are some things to keep in mind:
  • There are two primary file servers: Hostmanager and Shares.
  • Both file servers can be accessed from either a Macintosh workstation or a Windows workstation (including thin clients).
  • The file servers can only be accessed from school.
  • Hostmanager is a Macintosh file server. In general, only staff memebers and students in the classes of 2009 and earlier have accounts on Hostmanager.
  • Hostmanager will be phased out eventually.
  • Shares is a Windows file server. All staff members and jr/sr high school students have accounts. This is where your "My Documents" folder resides when you log in to a Windows computer or a thin client terminal.
