Internet Connectivity Troubleshooting


   Check your name server settings:
In Mac OS 8.x – 9.x, pull down the apple menu, select control panels, and tcp/ip.
In Mac OS X, pull down the apple menu and select system preferences.  Then select the “network” pane.
The DNS Servers should be set to:
170.215.255.114
66.133.128.138

   Check your proxy settings:
In Mac OS X, pull down the apple menu and select system preferences.  Then select the network pane, and click on the proxies tab.  For all services, use 10.0.7.2 in the first entry area and 3128 in the port entry area.
 
   In Mac OS 8.x – 9.x, the process is similar whether you are using Netscape or Explorer.  Lunch the browser and pull down the edit menu and select preferences.  From the list that appears, select “proxies” which appears near the bottom.
   If you are using Explorer, check the boxes “Web proxy” and “Use Web Proxy for all.”  Type 10.0.7.2 in the entry area and click the settings button. Type 3128 in the port entry area.  Click OK to leave the windows and return to the browser.  You may have to quit the browser and restart it for the changes to take effect.
   If you are using Netscape, click the “Manual Proxy Configuration” radio button, then click the “configure” button.  For all services, use 10.0.7.2 in the first entry area and 3128 in the port entry area. You may have to quit the browser and restart it for the changes to take effect.
