The second year of band—so much more will happen! In 6^th grade band, students continue to expand their musical knowledge and their performance abilities on their primary instrument. The 6^th grade band continues to rehearse daily for 45 minutes, using the Standard of Excellence: Band Method Book 2. Students are asked to practice 3 times a week, 30 minutes each time. Practicing is crucial if the students are to be ready to perform with the JH/HS band when they move up into the 7^th grade, which requires students to excel much quicker due to our smaller program. Students are encouraged to use the Resources page that offers many useful guides and practicing tools for their success! The 6th grade band performs at the four main concerts during the school year.
