Cole Olson dribbling past a Rockland defender

Our Ramblers boys basketball team finished their regular season as the #1 seed going into the district tournament. Their first district game was spent chopping down the Council Lumberjacks to advance to the district championship against the Garden Valley Wolverines. All throughout the championship game, the Ramblers and the Wolverines stayed neck and neck, all the way to the end of regulation time. When the buzzer sounded in the fourth quarter, the score was tied at 50. The first overtime ended the same way tied at 54. The second round of overtime left the score 61-60 in favor of Garden Valley. The Ramblers went on to win a game the next day against the Horseshoe Bend Mustangs, securing their spot as a #5 seed in the 1ADII state tournament.

They played their first game against the Rockland Bulldogs, where they beat them by a score of 55-49, moving to the semi-finals of the tournament. Their next game was played against the Camas County Mushers, where after keeping up with them in the first 3 quarters, the Ramblers fell short of qualifying for the state championship with the final score being 49-55. They went on to play Garden Valley for the third place game, where they rolled over Garden Valley, sending the Wolverines home empty handed. The Ramblers came home with a third place state trophy, and the 1ADII state tournament sportsmanship award.
