Kindergarten has been taking the MAP tests this week and some results are in! First, here's what MAP is: The Measures of Academic Progress (MAP) Growth Test is a computer-based, adaptive assessment for K-12 students that measures academic achievement and growth in reading, language, math, and science. The test is administered at the beginning, middle, and end of the school year and has no time limit. MAP is designed to help educators understand a student's academic journey, identify strengths and weaknesses, and plan instruction accordingly.  Now, drum roll please... Every Kindergarten student met their year end goal for reading growth!

Here is another great basketball camp opportunity for those student athletes who would like to improve on their skills! This is the 3rd annual "Go Get It" Basketball Camp. The camp is open to boys and girls. It serves as a fundraiser for the Boys' Basketball program's summer-ball schedule. This will be coached by Cascade's Varsity Boys Basketball Coach Josh Hurley and some of his team. Coach Hurley and his coaching team have taken teams to the State Tournament the last 4 years in a row and have been named Long Pin Coach of the Year 3 of the last 4 years. Kids who enroll are certain to learn valuable skills at their level which they can build on over the summer! All participants will receive a t-shirt in their size. Don't wait! The sign-up deadline is coming up soon so shirts can get ordered.
