Just yesterday, the Horseshoe Bend Mustangs came to Rambler territory looking for a win. They left disappointed though, with our Girls Varsity team taking a win with 48-17. Dubbed Player of the Game, Charlotte Dunn led the team with 12 points. Cedar Saxton was unstoppable with 5 assists, ensuring the Rambler’s triumph. The freshmen trio, Lilah Olson, Addie Hull, and Charlotte Dunn scored 70% of the baskets, with 34 in total. Not only did the Girls' Varsity take the win, but both our Boys' JV and Varsity teams continued the winning streak. The boys' JV team started off strong by finishing the half in the lead, 19-14. By the end of the game, Chris Hinkle scored 20 points and Jesse Walker brought in a total of 15 points. The JV Ramblers won 46-41, getting their first win of the season, and are now 1-2. The Cascade Rambler Varsity boys' basketball team improved their record to 4-1 after they beat the Horseshoe Bend Mustangs 56-25 last night. Overall, our Rambler teams showed up strong on their home court! Our boys' and girls' varsity teams are currently traveling to their next game in Sitka, Alaska.

The floor in both gyms is getting a new top coat done over the next couple days. The floor crew should be here this afternoon (the 19th) to start work. The new top coat will take about a week to dry so both gyms will be closed down completely with no exceptions. We will be taking measures to ensure access to the locker rooms will still be available.

Athlete of the Week 12/9-12/15 by Finley Wilkins and Reece Talbott
Congratulation to this week’s selected athletes, Finley Wilkins and Lauren Taylor!
Finley Wilkins earned male Athlete of the Week honors following an impressive performance in his team's win over the Council Lumberjacks. Wilkins scored 21 points, leading his team with a remarkable 80% shooting from beyond the arc. His consistent three-point shooting was a key factor in the victory, showcasing his skill and accuracy. Beyond his scoring, Wilkins' leadership and playmaking were crucial in the game. His outstanding performance highlights his growth as a player and makes him one to watch in the upcoming games. Congratulations, Finley!
After our lady Ramblers took on the Council Lumberjacks on the 11th of December at home, Coach Green gave Lauren Taylor the honor of Player of the Game. Lauren defended aggressively, and with her hustle, she was able to pick up 4 rebounds and 3 steals. Taylor was also extremely assertive towards their basket and was able to pick up 4 pts. Congratulations to Lauren Taylor on being selected as female Athlete of the Week!

Our Rambler teams leave for Alaska today and we are happy to share that you can watch them play on NFHS. Make sure you note the 2 hour time zone difference and tune in!

“Rambler Rivalry” By Kysar Ellsworth and Finn Wilkins
On December 10, our Rambler Basketball teams welcomed the Council Lumberjacks to our home court. In the Lady Ramblers Varsity game, Addie Hull scored a solid 10 points against the opposing team, with Charlotte Dunn dropping in 5 points. Lauren Taylor was awarded Player of the Game for her grit and determination on the court. Claire Pierce, the forward/guard, said “Even though it wasn’t our best game, we’ve improved a lot from last year and I’m excited to see how we continue to improve over the next few games.” The Lady Ramblers lost 29-51, but overall the team played well!
In the boys' Varsity game, the Ramblers took the win with a final score of 50-34. The Ramblers started the game with high intensity and a pursuit to score with a starting lineup of team captain Hayden Hull, along with Davis Taylor, Lincoln Huckaby, Will Huckaby, and Finley Wilkins. Not only did the Ramblers have a strong starting five, but they also had a strong 6 man. Michael Barker played a major role in transitioning the ball in the third and fourth quarters. After the Ramblers lost Senior Cole Olson due to an ankle injury in the Victory Charter game, the Ramblers had to step up. Junior Finley Wilkins scored 21 points while shooting 80 percent beyond the arc. Senior Hayden Hull dominated in the post by claiming multiple offensive rebounds and scoring 12 points. Davis Taylor, Will Huckaby, and Lincoln Huckaby also contributed to the Rambler's victory by finding their points within the offense. Sophomore Dylan Hodges, who normally plays JV, stepped up against the Council Lumberjacks and took care of the ball at the end of the fourth quarter. The Ramblers showed major improvement from the Victory Charter game and are already building team chemistry. Way to go Ramblers!
